There is a text message scam taking place right now. If you receive a message from Middle Tennessee Federal about your account being suspended Do not respond to this message. It is a scam. If you respond they will ask you to provide your card number, expiration date, and security code. This is everything that the fraudster needs to use your card. Please remember to never give that information out and First National Bank will never ask for that information.

Protecting our customers from identity theft is one of our top priorities. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 931-473-4402.

Here are some additional tips to help us protect you:

• For peace of mind, carry an alternate payment method as a backup if you are traveling, especially if outside of the state.

• Register your card with smsGuardian, by clicking on the link on our homepage.

• Use a credit card instead of the debit card when making purchases online or for recurring payments. A credit card prevents access to your personal funds.
